This durian coffee recipe will save you multiple trips to the coffee shop! Creamy milk, strong coffee, and that unmistakable durian aroma, all poured over ice in just 5 minutes.

🤔 What is durian coffee?
Durian coffee is a unique drink made by combining brewed coffee with durian, the tropical fruit known for its strong smell and creamy texture. It tastes rich, with a mix of bitter coffee and sweet, custard-like durian flavor.

🍚 Ingredient tips & substitutes
- Durian Use fresh or frozen durian flesh that’s fully ripe for the best creamy texture and natural sweetness. Avoid unripe fruit; use it to make durian chips instead!
- Instant coffee granules Instant coffee is quick and dissolves easily. Use a dark roast for a stronger contrast against the sweetness of recipe durian.
- Milk Whole milk makes the drink extra creamy, but you can use any milk you like, including coconut, oat, or soy milk for a dairy-free version.
- Sweetened condensed milk Add sweetness to taste if needed.

- Black coffee only – This version uses just brewed black coffee and durian flesh. Blend the two until smooth to create a thick, creamy texture and balanced flavor.
- Use espresso – Replace instant or brewed coffee with a shot of espresso for a deeper, more concentrated coffee flavor.
- Hot coffee – For a warm version, blend the durian, milk, and sweetened condensed milk. Then, gently heat the mixture in a small saucepan over low heat and stir in the instant coffee until fully dissolved.
