Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • tbsp peanut butter
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp coconut milk full-fat
  • 1 clove garlic finely minced
  • 1 small shallot finely chopped

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, add water, hoisin sauce, peanut butter, coconut milk, minced garlic, and finely chopped shallot.
  • Place the pan over low-medium heat and stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  • Let the sauce simmer for 2–3 minutes, stirring often to prevent burning.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool before serving. The sauce will thicken slightly as it cools.
