Instructions
In a small saucepan, add water, hoisin sauce, peanut butter, coconut milk, minced garlic, and finely chopped shallot.
Place the pan over low-medium heat and stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
Let the sauce simmer for 2–3 minutes, stirring often to prevent burning.
Remove from heat and let it cool before serving. The sauce will thicken slightly as it cools.
